This training course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to understand and recognise epilepsy, trigger factors and the medications used for prevention of seizures.
Items covered in this training are:
- Epilepsy management plans
- first aid procedures for seizures
- common triggers for seizures
- how to observe and record seizures
- safety issues for people living with epilepsy
- what to do in case of a seizure emergency
- Medications used to prevent seizures and emergency medications for ongoing seizures
The course also includes a simulated practical instruction on how to administer buccal and nasal emergency medication (Midazolam, Diazepam and others).
