Monique began her professional journey at Rocky Bay through the new graduate program. Starting at Rockingham, she gained invaluable experience from her supervisors and team leader before transitioning to Ascot Hub, where she has just commenced her third year. Monique has had the opportunity to build specific skills in paediatrics, by working in the Rocky Bay Early Start Intervention Program (ESIP) which supports young children with rare diagnoses and diseases before they are eligible for NDIS.

Monique’s favourite part of her role lies in working with other disciplines within Rocky Bay. Interdisciplinary teamwork is encouraged to provide holistic care which views the customer as a whole person with all team members sharing their skills to support the customer in achieving their goals. As part of therapy provision, Monique engages with customers in their natural environments – home, school, daycare and community.

Monique’s typical day involves seeing 3-4 customers and participating in various team meetings. Monique enjoys connecting with her clients in diverse environments, and gaining a deeper understanding of their needs and aspirations.
