Thanks to the Wishing Tree, Rocky Bay customer Rhonda recently spent a lovely evening at Crown Perth, watching the Wicked musical!
Rocky Bay Team Leader Munsaka Syachaba said as soon as Rhonda made her way into the theatre it was clear how excited she was, and she loved getting swept up in the music.
“Rhonda grew up in a home where music was always around,” Munsaka said.
“Rhonda and her siblings would stage living room concerts and Saturday nights were a time for the family to gather and sing,” Munsaka said.
In the 1970s, Rhonda joined in on miming performances where she would lip-sync to popular hits.
Her mother was their biggest cheerleader, always encouraging every performance.
Rhonda had been dreaming of seeing a live show for a while, and she certainly felt that dream come true watching Wicked.
The theatre visit brought back many wonderful memories, all made possible by the Wishing Tree.
The Wishing Tree is funded entirely by donations and wishes are granted when there is no other funding source available.
