Rocky Bay has partnered with FRINGE WORLD Festival 2025 to showcase Delicatessen, an art exhibition celebrating artists with disability.
Delicatessen is inspired by global cuisines and flavors, featuring pieces created by Rocky Bay customers.
The exhibition presents individual and collaborative works across various mediums, including textile art, painting, collage, mosaic and ceramics.
Among the 17 pieces on display by 10 different artists, Rocky Bay customer and artist Loahna Brophy will showcase multiple works, including Hot Dog 1 and Hot Dog 2.
Known for her distinctive figurative style and love of animals, Rocky Bay’s Chief Community Officer Anne-Marie Cox said Loahna brings a playful energy to her pieces.
“Loahna takes an abstract approach by integrating the frame into the artwork itself,” Ms Cox said.
“With bold colours, sweeping brushstrokes, and a charming ceramic detail of a sausage dog, this piece displays playful energy and creativity,” Ms Cox said.
Ms Cox said Rocky Bay artists were once again thrilled to showcase their work in this exciting collaboration with FRINGE WORLD Festival.
“For our artists, exhibiting their work in a mainstream setting is an incredibly exciting opportunity,” Ms Cox said.
“This exhibition is about more than just art, it’s about celebrating talent, dedication and providing our artists with a platform to showcase and sell their work.”
“The exhibition also provides an enriching experience for FRINGE WORLD Visitors, where they witness creativity and talent across all abilities,” Ms Cox added.
This is the third time Rocky Bay has partnered with FRINGE WORLD Festival, with its 2024 exhibition Our Secret Garden, earning the 2024 Perth Festival Visual Arts and Film Award.
