Big celebrations were had at our Mosman Park hub on Saturday 3 December where over 600 Rocky Bay customers, staff members and their families came together for the much anticipated annual Family Fun Day.
The festive day is a highlight on the calendar amongst the Rocky Bay community – which grows in attendance each year – and provides entertainment for people of all ages and abilities.
Fun was high on the agenda, with the celebrations including nostalgic musical entertainment from ABBA tribute band, ABBACADABRA, DJ Ray, and local ladies vocal harmony group A’ Capella West, who delighted guests with Christmas carols throughout the day.
Festive-clad stilt-walkers, colourful face-painting fairies and of course Santa Claus himself mingled with the crowd to spread Christmas cheer. The afternoon also included complimentary sausage sizzle, ice-cream, popcorn and fairy floss stations for guests, the opportunity to dance the day away at the silent disco, sit for a portrait with a caricature artist, and visit with animals with Old MacDonald’s Animal Farm.
Rocky Bay’s Studio, which supports customers with various artistic groups, were selling home-made pottery, mosaics, paintings and Christmas crafts, with proceeds going back into the Studio to help supply materials for the Studio’s various groups.
Rocky Bay CEO, Michael Tait, said the much-loved Family Fun Day gives families the opportunity to come together, relax and celebrate.
“It was amazing to see so many customers, staff and their families come along and soak up the festive fun. Family Fun Day is a great opportunity to celebrate everything our customers and staff have achieved throughout the year.
“Our customers really appreciate and look forward to this annual celebration, and so with record ticket sales this year, we will continue to make it bigger and better.”
Rocky Bay extends a special thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help make the day a resounding success, and thank you to Audi Centre Perth for their continued support!
