Rocking out at Iron Maiden

The Wishing Tree recently granted Dwayne’s wish to see his favourite band Iron Maiden live in concert. 

If you’ve been to our Mosman Park Hub you’ll know customer Dwayne and his love for heavy metal! 

The British band kicked off their tour in Perth and Dwayne had excitedly been waiting to attend since Support Worker, Ariel Katzir told Dwayne his wish was successful. 

“When I work with Dwayne in the Textile group, he always requests rock n roll.” Says Ariel. 

“In that mix a lot of Iron Maiden plays and when I saw they were coming to Perth I thought what a cool surprise that would be for Dwayne!” 

Dwayne was incredibly excited when he found out he had gotten tickets! 

He attended the concert with his brother Ric, and it was an invaluable opportunity for them to spend time watching one of their favourite bands together. 

Dwayne expresses his love for the band through his style. 

“If there is an art project going Dwayne will find a way to integrate his rock n roll style into it,” says Ariel. 

Dwayne purchased some merch at the concert that he now happily shows off to everyone he meets. 

“The Wishing Tree is so important, allowing these experiences so that customers like Dwayne can see their favourite bands live,” says Ariel. 

The Wishing Tree is funded entirely by donations and can help customers when no other funding source is available.
