Neurological Rehabilitation

After a life changing event, such as a stroke or spinal cord injury, it’s important to partner with a team of experienced and passionate people who will support you through what may be a long and challenging journey.

The good news is, our bodies are incredible, and we are learning everyday about what is possible using innovative techniques to tap into the neuroplasticity of our brains.

Your Neurological Rehabilitation specialists (Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, and Fitness Officers) will collaborate with you to work towards your individual recovery goals.

Together, we can determine the therapies and equipment that best suit your needs and your goals.

Rocky Bay’s Neuro Rehab team provides support for individuals of all ages with an acquired neurological injury, diagnosis, or condition.

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Bikes

The FES Bike cycling system uses safe, low-current electrical pulses to help improve mobility. It activates paralysed muscles for functional movement, reduces muscle spasms, improves local circulation, facilitates muscle conditioning and maintains an individual’s range of motion. Rocky Bay has FES bikes at our Mosman Park and Mandurah hubs.

Hydrotherapy

Rocky Bay’s hydrotherapy pool, located at Mosman Park, is a calm, controlled environment specially designed for rehabilitation and general therapy. The pool provides a low sensory environment to build on your strength and balance, under the careful support of our neuro rehab experts.

Our Neuro Rehab team are available at our 10 hubs in the Perth metro region, the Peel region, and via telehealth in Geraldton.
