Items covered in this training are:

  • Epilepsy management plans
  • first aid procedures for seizures
  • common triggers for seizures
  • how to observe and record seizures
  • safety issues for people living with epilepsy
  • what to do in case of a seizure emergency
  • Medications used to prevent seizures and emergency medications for ongoing seizures

The course also includes a simulated practical instruction on how to administer buccal and nasal emergency medication (Midazolam, Diazepam and others).
